What is fascia?

Fascia is a neuro-endocrine organ making up a continuous web throughout the body - connecting, innervating and packaging every muscle, bone, and organ. Fascia also plays a critical role in communicating with the nervous system; responding to mechanical, chemical, electrical, energetic, emotional, and thermal stimuli.

These forces can have positive and/or negative effects on the fascial tissue and is responsible for the modeling of the connective tissues to determine overall posturing and function of an individual's body.

Informed touch applying specific directional vectoring to the subcutaneous layer of fascia reverses deformation and entanglement of the fascia by melting glycoproteins and allowing the fibers to return to a healthy viscosity.

Effectively lengthening this tissue allows muscles and nerves to readjust to a renewed mechanical environment. This melting of the fascial tissue lowers the stimulation threshold of motor nerves stuck in the "on" position, resulting in relaxation of chronically tense muscle tissue, relieving chronic nerve pain and introducing parasympathetic dominant states to the persistently stressed person.
